Meet Achilles, a striking Friesian × Paint stallion with an intelligent, curious personality and a naturally cooperative attitude. Born February 24, 2020, Achilles is a 1/2 Friesian, 1/2 Paint with an exciting combination of Friesian presence, athleticism, and the versatility of the Paint horse.

Achilles is currently beginning his formal education through groundwork and foundational training and will soon transition into his introduction to saddle work.

One of his most appealing qualities is his willingness to look to his handler for direction. He is naturally curious, attentive, and interested in understanding what is being asked of him, making him an enjoyable young horse to develop.

Pedigree

Achilles is 1/2 Friesian and 1/2 Paint.

He is sired by Ahearn K, a Friesian, and out of Tobi, an APHA Paint.

This cross brings together the presence, athleticism, movement, and classic character of the Friesian with the versatility, athletic ability, and diverse talents of the American Paint Horse.

His breeding gives him an interesting foundation for a variety of riding disciplines, while his individual personality and developing abilities will help determine where he ultimately excels.

Training & Temperament

Achilles is currently in his groundwork and foundational training and will soon begin his education with saddle introduction.

He has a naturally curious and attentive personality and tends to look to his handler for guidance and direction. Rather than being pushy or difficult, Achilles is interested in what his person is asking and shows a willingness to learn.

For a stallion, Achilles is notably quiet and manageable, and he does not currently exhibit typical stallion behaviors. He has a cooperative attitude and is comfortable focusing on his handler and his work.
